In our clients' words

“Vertigo has been a very reliable and trustworthy partner in projects of high profile and complexity. They showcased high project management skills and a great balance of artistic and pragmatic approach from concept to completion. John and Rhod kept us informed throughout the projects and offered realistic solutions whenever required”

- Matt Bradford, Head of Contracts: Leisure, Waste and Environment

‘From the initial consultation to installation, Vertigo were a joy to work with. They produced an exhibition which exceeded even our highest expectations – the quality of the design and the fabrication are both fantastic.’

- Christopher Ansell, Interpretation and Exhibitions Officer, National Memorial Arboretum

‘The secret to Vertigo's success I feel is their ability to work not just ‘for’ the client, which they do, taking care of all the necessary details of a design and build in a project with ease and calmness, but they aim to work ‘alongside’ the client, listening, discussing, suggesting and feeding into the process to make it so much more than it could have been from the off. To work with Vertigo is to feel part of that process and part of the team.’

- John Scott, Management Plan Coordinator, Frontiers of the Roman Empire World Heritage Site (Hadrian’s Wall)

“The University is really delighted at the quality of design that Vertigo crafted for its long term Exhibition on ‘Flying dinosaurs’. The aim was to produce a scientific exhibit that would appeal at all levels – from a group of primary school children to the inquisitive academic specialist. At every stage the design brief was professionally executed and the result is a wonderful tableau enjoyed by the community at large.”

- David Siveter, Professor of Palaeontology, University of Leicester

“Vertigo’s design skills are perfectly suited to this kind of display. They know how to communicate visually and tailored their designs to meet our needs. They understood the brief and went above and beyond to make sure our brand was reflected in every part of the project. Their customer service is exceptional, often working out of hours to suit us. They were always available to speak to and regularly updated us on the progress on our project.”

- Ian Wall, Director, Creswell Heritage Trust

Landscape Architecture

Museum & Heritage

Vertigo offer a complete end-to-end service, helping with feasibility studies, funding bid support and concept proposals for HLF applications. Whether it’s a single interpretive graphic or a full gallery design, we’ve worked with some of the biggest names in the UK- and some of the smallest.

Exhibitions & Interiors

We create compelling displays for museums, commercial companies and visitor centres. Temporary or permanent, touring or static, we’ve worked with listed buildings, national monuments and UNESCO world heritage sites. In a Napoleonic battleship, a pier, a carpark, a rope factory, a graveyard, a rooftop and a circular room in GCHQ.

Environmental Graphic Design

Our expertise includes wayfinding visuals, maps and historical interpretation. We translate complex cartography into engaging graphics, connecting people to the place they are standing. Our work blends storytelling and spatial rendering to enhance peoples experience of new environments.

Landscape Architecture

Bringing urban spaces to life by enhancing the lived experience. Our expertise includes memorials, outdoor cafes and parks development. Transforming unloved areas into inspiring, stimulating spaces. The result is environments that enhance wellbeing, connect with the natural world and encourage conversations with strangers.

Branding

From logo design and colour palettes to typography and full brand guidelines, we craft cohesive identities that work seamlessly across digital and print. Our design team will work with you to create a brand that effectively communicates your company or product to let it connect with its audience.

Packaging

Good packaging doesn’t just hold a product — it sells it. We develop bespoke packaging design that talks to the customer (telling them what good taste they have). We turn everyday paper, cardboard and plastic into outstanding packaging that people notice, pick up, and remember.

Project Management

Projects run better when someone is keeping an eye on the details. We plan, organise and deliver projects smoothly — keeping timelines clear, communication simple, and teams focused on what matters most. You’ll notice less stress, fewer grey hairs, and a smoother path from idea to completion.

Public Consultation

Successful public projects start with good conversations. We help organisations engage with communities before major projects begin. Good consultation builds trust, creates community ownership, and helps create outcomes that work for everyone.
