When the new £4.5m Creswell Crags Visitor Centre opened in 2009, Vertigo formed a consortium of specialists in the design and fitting of the 120m2 gallery. The Crags are a prehistoric limestone gorge that contain several caves that were occupied during the last ice age. The wealth of human and animal artefacts are displayed in nine large display cases surrounded by interpretive graphics and two AV displays. In 2013 we developed and added a large archaeological interactive exhibition in an adjacent space.
‘The swimming Reindeer: Ice Age Art and Storytelling’ was Awarded Best exhibition for the temporary exhibition category at the Derbyshire Heritage Awards, July 2013
“Vertigo Creative designed and installed our gallery exhibition. Vertigo’s design skills are perfectly suited to public display. They know how to communicate visually and tailor their skills to meet our needs. They understood the brief and went above and beyond to make sure our brand was reflected in every part of the project. Their customer service is exceptional often working out of hours to suit our operating times. They were always available to speak to and regularly updated us on the progress on our project.”
